Calling all nursing students!

A unique opportunity awaits.
If you are a nursing student approaching graduation, Genesis would like to offer you a position as Nursing Assistant II (NA II) to prepare you to become a full-fledged Registered Nurse.  We will provide appropriate training, orientation, and competency review upon hire as a Nursing Assistant II, and after you pass the NCLEX, you are guaranteed a job with Genesis.

Here’s how the program works:

NA II Student Rewards & Expectations:

  • You must be currently enrolled in the final semester of a nursing program to qualify for NA II position and can start the position once the previous semester is completed in its entirety.

  • If you are currently employed by Genesis, you are eligible to apply for a NA II or Registered Nurse position once enrolled in your final semester of a Nursing program.

  • Genesis will pay you a $400 bonus on your first paycheck as a Status Registered Nurse to reimburse you for the cost of your NCLEX exam.*

  • The NA II pay range is determined by your applicable experience.

  • You must pass NCLEX within 6 months of meeting the requirements of graduation.

  • Once you have successfully passed NCLEX and are in good standing, you will transition into an RN position in the same unit.

  • If you do not pass NCLEX within 6 months, you will be removed from the NA II position, but you will be able to apply for other positions for which you qualify within Genesis.

Genesis Commitment:

  • Genesis will only allow Nursing Assistant II employees to work within their scope of practice.

  • Genesis will increase your pay to the RN rate once you transfer into the RN position.

  • Genesis will provide a clinical orientation and mentoring experience that will help you become a successful “First Nurse” (RN).

Genesis Health System is a not-for-profit organization that qualifies you for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. After ten years of employment and income-based repayment, all remaining student loans will be forgiven under the program.**
