We're hiring BOC-certified athletic trainers who are educated, trained and evaluated in five major practice domains:​

  • Injury and illness prevention and wellness promotion 
  • Examination, assessment and diagnosis 
  • Immediate and emergency care 
  • Therapeutic intervention 
  • Health care administration and professional responsibility

Genesis Health System is committed to keeping our community safe. Athlete deaths from heat exposure are on the rise. Genesis now has the Kestrel 5400 that is used to measure Heat Stress to keep our athletes safe when playing the sports they love.

Choose the location and practice that's right for you:

Iowa Athletic Trainer - Full-time & Part-time

Athletic Trainer will work in a split role providing coverage for a local high school or college, as well as working in a physicians clinic to assist with rooming patients, taking vitals, and obtaining patient histories.  While providing team coverage you will collaborate with coaches to implement injury prevention programs, provide sideline coverage, and serve as a liaison for the athlete's care team as they rehabilitate after injury. 

Hours:

Morning: 8:00 am - variable

Afternoon: 3:00 - 9:00 pm

Illinois Athletic Trainer - Part-time

This is a part-time position to be the second Athletic Trainer at UTHS and Moline High School and/or Blackhawk college. Together with your ATC counterpart, you will provide immediate care of athletic injuries that may occur at sporting events and serve as a liaison between athletes, parents, coaches, Athletic Director, physicians and other healthcare professionals. You'll provide sideline coverage and rehab for injuries and preventative care, including concussion baseline testing and management. You will use Healthy Roster to record and communicate with coaches and Sports Med team regarding injuries and player status.  

 

P.T Clinic Eldridge - Part-time Athletic Trainer

This is a part-time position to be the second Athletic Trainer at North Scott High School. Together with your ATC counterpart, you will provide sideline coverage, rehabilitation of injuries, and preventative care guidance for both athletes and coaches. You will serve as a liaison between athletes, parents, coaches, Athletic Director, physicians and other healthcare professionals, providing sideline coverage and rehab for injuries and preventative care, including concussion baseline testing and management. You will use Healthy Roster to record and communicate with coaches and Sports Med team regarding injuries and player status. 

Hours: 2:00 - 10:00 pm

TBK Sports Complex - Part-time Athletic Trainer

 

Athletic Trainer will provide services at TBK Sports Center for local teams that practice at the facility.  You'll provide sideline coverage and rehab for injuries and preventative care for the following primary sports; basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball and pickleball.  You'll also provide acute care to injuries and screen chronic injuries for referral to PT. 

 

Athletic Trainer positions are based out of the brand new TBK Sports Complex!

 

Hours: 4:00 - 9:00 pm
